Topless Beauty: Corvette Z06 Convertible Gets Rendered

With an estimated 625 horsepower and 635 lb-ft of torque, the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is one mad piece of machinery. Unleash all that power, and major chunks of physical reality will fly at you like the attacking fowl in Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds.

The upcoming C7 Z06 will offer a removable carbon fiber roof panel. That should make the sensation of stratospheric speed more accessible than ever. Just imagine if Chevrolet offered a Z06 convertible. If you have hair on the top of your head, imagine the rushing wind’s willingness to remove it from your scalp while you stand on the Z06 convertible’s loud pedal on the approach to 200 mph.

We must say, the Z06 convertible is quite attractive, but don’t get your hopes up for a production model. At best, we hope GM builds a successor to the 2013 C6 Corvette 427 Convertible, or at the very least, a C7 Z06 convertible concept that we can drool on at auto shows.
