There typically aren’t any surprises with the kind of Corvette beauties you come across at RK Motors Charlotte. The classic car dealer has developed quite a rep for its collection of gorgeous ‘Vettes. But this 1963 coupe priced at $149,000 might be one of the most unique classic Corvettes ever sold by the company, at least the ones I’ve come across.

Finished in a Cyber Gray Metallic paint, the frame off built split window coupe is a sight to behold, with a look as menacing as any contemporary car you’ll find that’s painted in a similar color. The beauty of this classic coupe, however, is that unlike a lot of today’s vehicles, the custom work has stayed true to the original spirit of the car.

Power comes from a GM LS3 V8 with an output of 430 horsepower and 424 lb.-ft. of torque mated to a GM 4L70E 4-speed automatic transmission. Other performance features include Street Shop chassis, Fourth generation Corvette suspension and power steering, and Limited-slip differential / 3.73 gears.

Interior details include a black leather interior, chrome machine-finished accents, and Dakota Digital gauges, just to name a few. But make no mistake about it, the true beauty of this C2 is its stealth but classic looking exterior, which you can see vividly in the pretty pictures and the video below.

The history of this car (which sat protected in a garage for 30 years) is as intriguing as its looks. You can read about all the juicy details at RK’s highly informative site
