Owner Could Lose Stolen ’72 Corvette Again
When it comes to bad cases of getting caught up in red tape, this one is among the worst involving a Corvette we’ve come across.
After finally being informed that police had found her ’72 Stingray that was stolen 42 years ago, there’s a chance that Terry Dietrich might not be able to claim the car because she doesn’t have the original title.
Not even Dietrich’s insurance company, which paid out the claim on the car when it was first stolen in Georgia, can find the original doc. Even worse, the blue Corvette could wind up going to auction, leaving Dietrich to cope with losing the car again.
“If I cannot have the car back, I do not want to see it. And I will have to get over this all again,” Dietrich told Atlanta’s Channel 11.
