More than 8,000 Registered for Corvette Caravan

Corvette Caravan text

Talk about missing a hell of a party. As of August 27, nearly 8,000 Corvettes had registered for the huge gathering at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY … and I wind up getting stuck on assignment all the way on the West Coast.

The number is more than double the last time the museum had a caravan, which was in 2009, according to a WBKO report.

The event, which takes place August 27 – 30, also marks the 20th anniversary of the museum as well as the grand opening of the NCM’s new Motorsports Park.

From scenic self-guided road tours to a “Corvette Hall of Fame” inductee ceremony, this year’s caravan is set up to be one of the best yet. The 2014 event will also include the Lifetime/VIP dinner and the 10-year/15-year/20-year member recognition, along with a few other surprises, I’m sure.

Well, no need for me to continue complaining about what I’m missing, but if you’re attending the event, be sure to share some photos on the forum for those of us who couldn’t make it.
