Then again, maybe not, if you’re a serious animal lover or are looking for an interesting Halloween story to freak out your neighbors, who probably already think you’re crazy when it comes to Corvettes.
It appears that an adhesive used in the production of the 2015 Corvette Stingray may help save an endangered bat species in the U.S., according to a 3BL Media report.
The company’s press release states that while the process is currently being reviewed, the material could possibly be used as a stalactite in artificial bat caves for a segment of the night creatures suffering from a deadly fungus known as White-nose syndrome.
Since 2006, nearly 5.7 million bats have died in North America due to the fungus.
Even wilder, it seems that GM has been into saving bats for awhile. The carmaker also uses recycled parts from the Chevrolet Volt to make safehouses for the popular Halloween animal icon, which honestly, creeps me out a lot more than the bats.
