Hennessey Performance to Offer 1,000-HP Package for Z06

The 2015 Corvette Z06 hasn’t even hit the street yet and we’re already getting news of upgrades to boost the car’s output.

This one comes from the team at Hennessey Performance Engineering, and includes a package that bumps the Zo6 to 1,000 horsepower, according to a GM Authority report.

Key components include forged pistons and rods, a custom-built HPE camshaft and ported cylinder heads on the Z06’s 6.2-liter supercharged V8. The higher-output HPE 1,000 package also includes modifications to the intercooler and its built-in heat exchanger to help draw more cold air into the engine to enhance its performance attributes.
