Corvette Z06 Battles Shelby GT500 and Hellcat in Rev-Off

There’s nothing better than a good ‘ol friendly rev-off, especially when it’s a new Z06 battling a pair of American foes.

In this match-up for the ages, the Z06 squares off against a 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 and a 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat SRT, both of which are worthy contenders when it comes to menacing exhaust notes.

However, this face-off between longstanding American competitors hardly seems like a fair comparison once you hear the Z06 hit its notes. In fact, it’s kind of tough to even hear the Shelby GT500. And the Challenger Hellcat, the last in the line-up, seems to run out of steam in the end.

Then again, hearing that 650 horsepower LT4 supercharged 6.2L aluminum V8 is hard to beat, regardless of what car it’s matched up against. It’s an iconic sound in a class of its own.
