Chevy Returns to Super Bowl Advertising with New Corvette Commercial
The last time Chevrolet placed an ad in the Super Bowl was back in 2012. Some significant product introductions have been made at Chevrolet since then. In the past 23.74 months the company has introduced all-new versions of the Corvette and the Silverado. As you can imagine, these are some fine products that need promotion, and what better way than the “big game” to promote them?
Over the weekend, Chevrolet introduced Super Bowl commercials for the C7 Corvette Stingray and the new Silverado. Check out the new spots below.
Watch the Corvette commercial, titled “Machine” and you may find yourself appreciating the emotionality that oozes through the screen. It’s a great commercial for people like us who worship Corvettes, but will it captivate a Camry and Accord-loving mainstream audience? Remember, most people watching the Super Bowl view the automobile as nothing more than an appliance; furthermore, many people believe the U.S. Government still owns GM stock. In our comments section or in the forums, let us know if this new Corvette ad pushes the right buttons.
