Purists, get the arsenal ready. You ain’t gonna like this.
First, the positives: There is a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray running around out there posting sub-4-second 1/8-mile times. The whole body structure is factory, as well as factory body panels, factory deck lid, and even the factory removable top. The negative: It’s running a twin-turbo Hemi engine, so technically, there isn’t a C7 Stingray running around out there posting sub-4-second 1/8-mile times.

Either way, this is a massively impressive build. The ‘Vette was a brand new 2014 model with only 76 miles on it before it was completely dismantled and crafted to fight the typical Mustangs that race in the Pro Mod drag racing class. It uses a 548 Hemi with 102mm Precision turbos that you can see peaking out of the grille. Running FuelTech FT500 EFI system, it’s producing around 3,500 horsepower delivered to the rear wheels through a 3-speed transmission and a billet solid rear axle.
The video below shows it running a 3.98 at 207 mph in an 1/8-mile drag. Watch it fly below, or if you want a boatload of more photos from the full build process, check out Stevens Race Cars FB page.
