This Well-Sorted 1959 C1 Corvette Is Quite the Find

It might not be 100% original, but in a car you want to actually drive, that’s okay. On that note, one of our forum members found this gorgeous 1959 C1 Corvette, and by the looks of it, it shouldn’t take too much to get back in good working order. The correct color red is still looking good, and coats the outside with a splash of white in exactly the spot where you’d expect it. Black leather is inside, and appears to be in decent shape. Under the hood, a few things have changed from original, but this 327/365 horsepower V8 sports a Duntov camshaft and solid lifters. Other things aren’t quite original, like a 4bbl Holley carb, and if you peek inside, you’ll see an auxiliary tachometer.

What is very neat though is the red hard top that goes in place of the white soft top. Both are in decent condition, which attest to the shape of the rest of the car. Due to it not being wholly original, it’s not really a survivor in those exact terms, but it sure looks the part. I can’t wait to see the progress on this one.
