The 2017 Corvette Model Year Starts Now

Summer break is over for the ladies and gentlemen over at the Bowling Green Corvette assembly plant. It’s time to kick it back into gear. After the first extended break since production of the C7 started, yesterday officially marked the start of production of the 2017 Chevrolet Corvette, and that means the reintroduced Grand Sport is now legitimately on the way to dealerships.

Technically, the plant has been making 2017 Corvettes for a couple months already for testing purposes, but the true schedule shows that the 2016 production ended on June 27, and the plant has been undergoing routine maintenance for the past couple weeks. With the factory back online, 2017 Corvettes and Corvette Grand Sports will be rolling through, while 2017 Z06s are scheduled to begin in early September.
