Parking Olympics: Corvette Wins Bronze

No one’s really expecting us to go out and win an IndyCar race, but as Corvette owners and drivers, we do hold ourselves to a higher standard of prowess behind the wheel. Backing into a parking space isn’t all that difficult. You can see here in this thread that the driver of this C7 parked well away from everyone else (a practice we are really OK with). However, he or she managed to run up a curb…and park there.

We’ve all had a little “oopsie” every now and then, but I guess this driver (feel free to assume the gender at your own risk) wasn’t too interested in figuring out why the car suddenly lifted off the ground from one side. Oh well. All you can do is shake your head in wonder and amazement.

It begs the question: are there people out there who are so careless that they really shouldn’t have a Corvette? I know there’s not really much of a qualification process for car buyers, but sometimes I do wish people would have to sign a contract that bars driving in a state of apathy.
