How Far Did You Travel to Find the Perfect Corvette?

With thousands of options for color choices both inside and out, and equipment from standard to race-ready, there’s a Corvette out there for everyone. A new C7 can be custom ordered and delivered to your local Chevy dealer in a matter of weeks, or you can head to the NCM, get a tour of the Bowling Green plant, then drive your new baby back home from Kentucky. But what if you’re not looking for a new C7? If you’re looking for something pre-owned, how far would you travel to get “the one?” As a recent thread titled “How Far Did You Go to get ‘The One’” shows us, for many of our forum members, a long drive back home is definitely worth it.

Interestingly, there seems to be a heavy emphasis on the C6 with this story, although there are a few other generations scattered in the thread as well. And most of “The Ones” are bought from southern states and then driven back home. But would-be owners have driven — and flown — all across the U.S. and Canada to give an old Corvette a new garage stall to call home.

Do you have a story of finding your Corvette out of state? We’d love to hear it.
