Facebook Fridays: Nice Corvette Restoration or a Bad Decision?

If this is truly the real deal — and by all indications, it is — then this Facebook Fridays photo is worth a round of likes here on Corvette Forum.

The meme, pulled from High Tech Corvette’s Facebook page, has already amassed over 12,000 likes and over 1,000 shares, a sign that nothing quite strikes a chord with Corvette fans like seeing one that’s been built from the ground up.

That said, the pic, titled #ProjectCar, has sparked some interesting comments from those questioning at what point a restoration just isn’t worth the effort.

Jon Lewis – “I see a lot of money you’re not going to get back…ever.”

Rovvert Toko – “Yea 85,000 dollars later.”

JohnandRosie Stiltner – “So i take it you had all of the parts and your a body man because it would have been a hell of a lot cheeper to by a used one that would not have a salvage title.”

But hey, I guess there’s always going to be some naysayers, even among Corvette fans.
