dirty

With a car as capable and usable as the new Corvette, being afraid of a little rain or a little dirt or a few inches of snow seems a little silly (well maybe not that last part, as snow is generally an acceptable no-no). That said, the use of high-performance cars in unusual situations isn’t exactly new, but it is always refreshing to see someone enjoying their commute, even if it isn’t 72 degrees and sunny.

In our forums, dirty cars are appreciated just as much as the highly waxed and polished versions. Shame should never be cast on the folks who choose to daily their Corvette, or even dare to expose it to rain, or the Midwest’s rust belt. To each their own, and all the power to them!

To hear the story behind a dirty Corvette is usually quite entertaining. There’s always the story of being forced to drive in the slushy stuff after the winter beater has broken down. Even the mid-summer road trip with insect victims all over the front of the car. Or the case of an emergency which needs tending, and the Corvette is the only car available. Or even the fun day at the race track which included a little bit of accidental landscaping. Either way, it makes the resulting car wash that much more enjoyable.
