Details on the 2016 Corvette’s RPOs

I’ve got good news and bad news. The good news is that the 2016 Corvette is going to get some new color options and available packages and a new C7.R edition of the Z06. The bad news is that some of the previous colors and packages are going bye-bye.

For instance, the extra-cost Corvette Racing Yellow (GC6) and Long Beach Red Metallic (G1E) Tintcoats are replacing the Velocity Yellow (G8A) and Crystal Red (GBE) Tintcoats. Chevy’s dropping the Atlantic (ATI) and Pacific (PFI) Design Packages in favor of the Twilight Blue (ZLD), Spice Red (ZLE), and Black Suede (ZLG) Design Packages.

All 2016 Stingrays get a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, an updated MyLink infotainment system, a front curb view parking camera, and a power-cinching coupe hatch and convertible trunk. Here’s some more good news: you won’t have to order the Z51 package to get Magnetic Ride Control.

You’ll also get to choose one of four new wheel designs and an optional carbon fiber hood with an exposed weave insert. Stripe decal packages will also be available. On Stingrays with the Carbon Flash Badge Package and its full Carbon Flash grille, Chevy deletes the chrome bar from the front opening.

Newly available options include two-tone seats in Gray or Adrenaline Red covered in Napa leather or sueded microfiber and yellow or red stitching.
