Corvette of the Week: a Proud Owner Once Again, 37 Years Later

COTW

I’m sure you’re all well aware of the Hallmark-coined phrase: “If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it’s yours. It it doesn’t, then it never was.” Well, that phrase doesn’t just apply to greeting cards, in this case, it also applies to our Corvette of the Week.

New member GFaulk recently posted up photos of his newly purchased 2012 Carlisle Blue 1Lt Corvette, along with photos of his first two C3 ‘Vettes, which he hasn’t owned for 37 years. And because he’s a darn good photographer, and we love pictures here at Corvette Forum, GFaulk also posted up some stunners that he took at COTA in 2013 and 2014. Check them out in the gallery below.

GFaulk’s new ride sports the 6-speed manual and the Ebony interior. And she’s only got 12,000 miles on her.

After posting the initial pics in the Intros section, GFaulk thanked everyone for the proper hellos and welcomes, and then mentioned the following: “I’ve owned the car for four weeks and still smile every time I see it parked in the garage.”

37 years is a long time for something you love to return, but it sure sounds like it was worth the wait. Here’s hoping that smile gets even bigger knowing you’re driving a Corvette of the Week. Congrats GFaulk, and welcome back to the fun.
