Stolen C4 Corvette Used as Battering Ram During Robbery
There’s not many things more American than Corvettes and guns. But that combo is void when using a Corvette to steal guns. Yet that’s exactly what happened in Lousiville, Kentucky last week. Wednesday morning at 5 a.m. started with a bang when robbers used a stolen Collector’s Edition C4 to ram the storefront of Tilford’s Gun Sales. As you can see in the WDRB news report below, there’s no confirmed number of firearms stolen, but one can assume the perps made off with enough to be considered dangerous.
Using the back of the Corvette as a battering ram, burglars knocked down the front entrance to the gun store and the concrete surrounding it with seemingly little effort. Judging by the top photo above, the Corvette took the hit surprisingly well. The criminals left the Corvette at the scene though, as they fled in another vehicle.
Video from surveillance cameras is currently being analyzed to see if any clues will help identify the criminals and the alleged get-away car. Louisville police are still looking for help to solve the crime though, so any tips leading to an arrest can be called into their main line at (502) 574-5673.
