ZR1 Prices Are Nearly Half of What They Were When New, and You Don’t Pay a Penalty for Low Mileage

As you can see in the video below, Doug Demuro might be a bit new to what Corvettes are all about. He might also fail to grasp why the ZR1’s sedate traffic manners are a good thing. But what we do know is that he does recognize the intoxicating thrill that is an LS9 at full song, and that C6 ZR1 prices are incredibly attainable.

Even when new, ZR1 prices were about $110,000, and little more than a Nissan GT-R could even come close in terms of acceleration. Compare that to European exotics, and the ZR1 was still the car to have.

OK, so the interior is a bit underwhelming. All things considered, it was the car’s biggest weak point. Chevy’s Malibu had the same kind of switchgear, HVAC, radio and controls that you’d get in a ZR1. Access to horsepower was the main selling point. You simply could not buy any new car with that power for less than say … $200,000.

Years after production has ended, ZR1 prices have gone down substantially. While most hover in the $60K range, if you shop around a bit, you can find them around $50K, or even lower. It almost warrants a look if you are considering a C7 Z06.
