Vengeance Racing Builds “Evil GS” – A Blown C7 Corvette Grand Sport

Full engine build featuring a big supercharger lifts the output of this Corvette to 875 rear wheel horsepower.

The C7 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport is intended to bridge the performance gap between the Stingray and the Z06, introducing many of the handling advantages of the Z06 with the power of the Stingray. However, some people want more power from their Grand Sport, to really bridge that gap. One of the C7 GS owners turned to the go-fast experts at Vengeance Racing to add gobs more power to their LT1.

The Build

The video above from the Vengeance Racing YouTube channel begins with the LT1 engine of the C7 Corvette Grand Sport all torn apart. While out of the engine bay Vengeance added forged pistons, a Vengeance Racing Stage II Camshaft Kit, fuel system components from the LT4, American Racing headers, an overdrive balancer kit, an AlkyControl Dual Nozzle Methanol Injection System and a ProCharger F1A Supercharger System.

We get to watch as the footage shows the engine being assembled and installed into the car, then the video jumps to the C7 Grand Sport on the rollers.

After we watch and listen as the Vengeance-built LT1 makes a dyno pass from a couple different angles, we learn that this beast makes 875 horsepower and 841 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels.

After the build and dyno portion of the video, we spend a few minutes enjoying beauty shots and rolling clips of the 875-horsepower Corvette in action.

Owner Input

The final few minutes of the video show a Facebook live video of the Evil GS owner talking about his newly-built C7 Corvette. He praises Vengeance for their work on the car and walks us around the machine, highlighting the features of the build.
