Twin-Turbo C6 Corvette Gets Wild on the Drag Strip
After an unfortunate incident, this killer 1,500 whp C6 Corvette now represents one heck of a value.
As everyone already knows, the cheapest and quickest way to get into any form of motorsports is to buy a complete race car. Despite the many hours of time and incredible cost of building a racer, you just never come close to getting a good return on investment. This is especially true if you manage to find one that needs a little bit of work. Like this incredibly cool C6 Corvette drag car we spotted in the Corvette Forum Marketplace.
For the bargain basement price of $38k, you get a mostly complete, 1,500 whp professionally built racer. It just needs a bit of work, of course. Apparently, the car suffered some front end damage before it was sent to Vengeance Racing for repair. Some repairs appear to have been already completed, though the car lacks headlights and a grille. The windshield, radiator, and fan are also damaged.

Instead of moving forward with the project, the current owner decided to move on. Which, of course, is a great opportunity for somebody looking to get a (cheap) jump start in drag racing. The C6 Corvette Z06 has over $100k in it, including nice stuff like an ERL 430 hydraulic roller short block. Other goodies include All Pro LS7 heads, a custom RPM cam, dual Forced Inductions 76/83 turbos, and way more than we can possibly list.
Prior to its little incident, this C6 Corvette was running 9s with ease. And we’d imagine it’s got more in it. Hopefully somebody will buy this thing and repair it instead of just parting it out. And if they’ve got the mechanical inclination, it’ll be worth every penny!
