National Corvette Museum's Museum in Motion Pacific Coast Highway 2018

‘Museum in Motion’ hits the Pacific Coast Highway Sept. 10-16 for a memorable getaway through California’s wine country.

One of the best things about owning a Corvette is being able to experience the open road like no other. If you happen to have some time this fall, why not head down to California’s wine country with a few dozen of your closest Corvette buddies?

The Kentucky-based National Corvette Museum‘s “Museum in Motion” will make its next tour stop in Northern California, Sept. 10-16, for a first-time week-long journey through the many sights along the Pacific Coast Highway. This memorable getaway follows the IMSA Monterey Grand Prix at the famed Raceway Laguna Seca, and the annual Corvette Racing Banquet in Seaside, California, both held on the weekend of Sept. 7-9.

The “Museum in Motion” journey starts on the afternoon of Sept. 10 in Seaside and includes a reception and meet-and-greet. The next day, all will depart for Pebble Beach’s 17-mile drive, followed by stops over the next few days at Santa Cruz Wharf, Half Moon Bay, Napa Valley, Blackhawk Museum, and the Winchester Mystery House before the final breakfast in Los Altos, Sept. 16.

At the end of the journey, you’ll have the option of taking part in Santa Clara Corvettes’ annual Corvette Spectacular in Los Altos, one of the largest Corvette-only car shows on the West Coast. Pre-registration begins July 1.

Price of admission to the “Museum in Motion” trek with your Vette starts at $1,850 for you and your car, if you’re a museum member, or $1,890 if not. A passenger/alternate driver can come along for $450 or $490, depending if they’re members, too. Advance registration closes Aug. 1, or until all spaces are taken.
