Stunning C2 Corvette Doesn’t Care About Concours

Corvette guys tend to obsess over originality. The owner of this beautiful C2 Corvette couldn’t possibly care less.

The Corvette world, perhaps more so than many other make, is obsessed with originality. We pour over every old ‘Vette we see, scowling at anything less than perfect factory marks and original bits. But in reality, those niggling details don’t matter to everyone. And even though we enjoy seeing cars that are amazingly original, we don’t discount those that choose to do their own thing, either. Like the owner of this gorgeous ’64 C2 Corvette.

We spotted the black beauty over in the Corvette Forum Marketplace, where it’s currently seeking a new owner. And we doubt it’ll take long. The seller claims to have invested $93k in his ride, and we don’t doubt that, either. But he didn’t spend that cash making this C2 Corvette concours ready, that’s for sure. For starters, it’s a 327 4-speed car fitted with a big block stinger hood. And that’s perfectly fine if you ask us.

Other added goodies include side pipes, aftermarket air conditioning, and knock off wheels. And, even better, the seller says the 58,000 miles showing on the odometer are actual. It’s the kind of car you can happily cruise around in and show off, without worrying about destroying its value. And that’s exactly the kind of ride we like to see.

The seller of this stunning C2 Corvette obviously built his car for that exact purpose. Sure, it won’t win any originality awards at any big name shows. But anybody who appreciates Corvettes (or nice cars in general) will stop and complement this beauty, guaranteed. With timeless styling and a few nice additions, nobody will ever say a cross thing about it, either. Well, except maybe your average concours judge!
