Split-Window Corvette Barn Find… In Hawaii?

How many barns can there actually be in the 50th state?

Of all the stories we cover at CorvetteForum, one of our favorite topics is the elusive barn find. Obviously, when you hear that phrase, you think of a ‘Vette stashed away amongst hay bales at some farm in the middle of nowhere. The dream scenario is that a low-mileage Corvette was bought by a farmer who saved up enough to buy his dream toy, then stored it in a shed for decades. Now his next-of-kin is selling it to you for cheap.

But there aren’t many hay bales in Hawaii, so for this Corvette, you’ll have to make your own story. Parked for 26 years, this Corvette has an irresistible appeal before you even open the hood. Namely, it’s an iconic 1963 split-window car. Digging deeper, this SWC has the base 327 cubic inch V8 engine, and automatic transmission. This could make it a “less desirable” ’63 model (if those actually exist), but the condition looks to be mostly workable. Covering just 39,024 miles, this thing may have covered every road in Hawaii, but no more than once or twice.

The under the hood looks a little crusty from its long slumber in storage. But everything is there and it doesn’t look like it would take much to become a driver. Reserve wasn’t met on its most recent eBay listing, even though it topped out at $44,687.  Hey, that just means you’ll have another shot at it in the near future.
