Corvettes

From fuelie first-gens to rare big block models, there are Corvettes for everyone in L.A. this weekend.

We, like you, are suckers for a good auction. We tend to lock ourselves in the house whenever Barrett-Jackson and Mecum events hit the airwaves and bunker in for the duration. Of course, we love scoping out all the sweet rides and seeing what they go for. Which can be a good thing or a bad thing, of course. Regardless, we’re already tuned in to this weekend’s Mecum Los Angeles auction, which packs loads of drool-worthy Corvettes.

Pretty much any generation or iteration you’re looking for is crossing the block at The Fairplex in Ponoma, California. This stunning, restored 1959 283 4-speed car is a real star, as is this numbers-matching Signet Red 1958 fuelie. And these are just a couple of standouts in a pretty impressive group of C1 offerings.

Fans of C2 Corvettes have plenty to choose from as well. How about a numbers-matching, 69,000 mile ’63 convertible? If you like a little more juice under the hood, here’s a 482-powered ’67. Or, if you prefer the C3 Corvettes, maybe a Metallic Gold 454-powered ’73 or ’78 anniversary car with 22,000 original miles?
