Art Deco Corvette body kit custom re-body C4

If Vette Karts are just too much for you, allow us to introduce you to Art Deco Vettes.

With the amount of Vette Karts around, its nice to see a blatant change of pace with this odd creation. Dubbed the Deco Coupe or “Bella Elan” depending on who you ask, this car is a mash-up of a 1988 Corvette, a 1998 Corvette, an Audi TT, and 1937 Chevrolet. Call us crazy, but the proportions of this mashup actually work unusually well. Or, at the very least, we’ve seen a lot worse.

Speaking of seeing worse, you won’t find that in the craftsmanship. It’s actually quite well put together. Putting a TT body on a Corvette frame with fenders from an old Chevy might seem like a hack job, but this is no back-yard build. Over 6000 build hours are in to this car, and the attention to detail  including the boxed frame and under-hood areas  speaks for itself.

Interior trim combines as much as possible from the Audi TT, but vintage style gauge faces and wooden trim keep the art deco theme in place. And, just like the outside, the interior looks very well put together. Even if it does have two different types of wood. But the wood door sills and running boards are a nice touch.

What we think would be hilarious is to see how this thing performs. Power comes from a 5.7 V8 that you’d find in your standard C5, So it’s not exactly lacking on power. But sadly, we doubt anyone would be wacky enough to take something like this car to a drag strip or a track day. That’s sad, because in terms of a laugh, and earning respect at the same time, this is exactly the kind of ride to do it.
