2019 Corvette ZR1 Runs a 10.12 Quarter Mile

LT5 power allows the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 to nearly hit the 9s, at least, with an asterisk.

While some of the early drag strip times posted by 2019 Corvette ZR1 owners have been less-than-impressive, one of our forum members has run a number with his LT5-powered supercar that has gotten the attention of the American performance car world. With the car barely being broken in and the only modification being a drag tire setup, this C7 ZR1 laid down a stunning 10.12 at 135.91 miles per hour.

The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 being discussed around the internet is owned and driven by Corvette Forum member wfarmer.z, who shared his timeslip and videos in a thread in the new ZR1 section. The OP has previously set drag strip records with his Z06, so it goes without saying that he knows how to get away from the starting line and down the quarter mile. As a result, he is able to lay down a far better performance with his 755-horsepower Chevy than have some YouTubers with new LT5 cars.

The car in these videos is 100% stock with the exception of the rear tires, so while the rubber on the rear wheels isn’t stock – everything else is factory-issue.
