Widebody C8 Corvette renders are steadily rolling out, but for now, HugoSilva takes the virtual crown.

As of right now, not a single person has taken delivery of their shiny new C8 Corvette yet. But that certainly won’t stop anyone from designing aftermarket parts for the new mid-engine marvel. Nor will it prevent artists from around the world from creating drool-worthy renderings of highly stylized Corvette examples. The latest comes to us from HugoSilva Designs via Facebook, and it might just be the best one yet.

Wide, low slung cars are all the rage these days, and that’s exactly the look HugoSilva was going for here. This particular C8 Corvette sits directly on the ground, which is undoubtedly achievable with an air ride setup. From there, entirely new fenders extend the car’s width by a considerable margin. They also make room for some massive wheels and tires, which obviously fill the newly created void to the brim.

Both the front and rear fascias are heavily revised as well. Out back, there’s a massive diffuser to improve downforce. And speaking of downforce, we’re sure that giant rear wing will help a little as well. It looks a little like the current ZR1 wing, albeit sporting some fancy mounting brackets. There’s even a smaller spoiler mounted beneath this behemoth. Because you can’t have too many wings, now can you?

Up front, there are a set of air winglets and hood vents that you typically find on front-engine cars to improve airflow and cooling. In this case, they look nice, anyway. The front lip is massive and nicely matches the car’s sharp lines. And even the roof has received a redo, with a design that mimics quite a few hypercars out there in the world.

Overall, this widebody Corvette certainly looks the part. It’s incredibly aggressive and sharp, giving the C8 some serious visual bite. We don’t doubt that several builders will be ready and willing to apply such treatments to the new Corvette when it finally hits showrooms. And personally, we can’t wait to see what else HugoSilva dreams up in the meantime.
