Chevrolet, as we know, makes some serious equipment when it comes to cars that are suitable for track use. While there are local race tracks at your disposal for track days, we wanted to highlight some of the best facilities you could ever visit with your Chevy.

1. Road America

Nestled in the scenic Kettle Moraine region of Wisconsin, Road America hosts almost every major American automotive racing series. As a track that follows its Midwestern terrain’s natural elevation changes, there are long, undulating straightaways, tight corners and tricky turns. Road America’s track configuration was laid out in 1955, and to this day hasn’t changed a bit.

2. Circuit of the Americas

In contrast to Road America, Circuit of the Americas (COTA) broke ground fewer than seven years ago on New Year’s Eve 2010. Built specifically to host the Formula One United States Grand Prix, COTA hosts a number of major racing series, but also hosts driving schools and track days. Featuring an array of tricky turns, this track is easily one of our favorites.

3. Daytona International Speedway

Chevrolet and Daytona go together like baseball and hot dogs. Whether it’s running at the front in a NASCAR race, or leading the class at the 24 Hours of Daytona, Chevrolet’s history is rich with wins at this iconic banked-oval circuit.

4. Le Mans

Chevrolet’s racing program, which has been outrageously successful at Le Mans, is directly responsible for the road cars we enjoy today. Cars like the Corvette C7.R are raced to win, but the lessons learned from the race track benefit the consumer. Carbon fiber, smooth aerodynamics and even carbon ceramic brakes are all a result of racing efforts at this iconic French track.

Laguna Seca almost wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the terrain of Monterey, California. It’s tough to think of any portion of the track as a legitimate straightaway as all the turns seem to blend into one another, but that’s where the appeal lies. One of our favorite events here is the Monterey Historics. At this event you’ll find enough Corvettes, Camaros and big block Chevrolet-powered Can-Am cars to keep a smile on your face for days.
