Supercharged C7 Stingray Cracks 650 Horsepower on the Dyno

Z51 brakes, Z06 aero pieces and now a supercharger, this C7 Sting Ray has is basically a Z06-lite.

With 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, the C7 Corvete Z06 is a lot of car for the money. However, not everyone can afford the $80,000 cost of entry. Fortunately, the standard Sting Ray model rings in at $55,000, before any negotiation, and provides Corvette access to the majority of buyers.

However, for those that opted to buy the standard C7, they may, eventually, be inclined to add more power. Fortunately, tuning shops, like Late Model Racecraft, know that ins and outs of the small block Chevy V8, including how to make big power, reliably.

This C7 that they have tuned has, most notably, a supercharger upgrade. Adding boost to the naturally-aspirated LT1 V8 results in impressive power figures, and a great sound. Blower noise up front, and roaring pipes out back make this C7 one mean sounding ride. It also has the power to back up the aggressive looks and sounds, as this car ends up producing 650 horsepower on the LMR dyno. It’s basically a Z06-lite now.
