Monstrous C6 Corvette Beats Everyone but the Super Bikes
Supercharged, LSX-powered C6 Corvette is wicked fast from a roll and sounds incredible.
The video above comes to us from the Street Car Video YouTube channel and it features one of the nastiest C6 Corvette street cars we have seen in action. In the course of this three-minute video, this Vette absolutely decimates a handful of very respectable performance cars, ranging from other Corvettes to a bottled Dodge Charger Hellcat.
Really, the only competition came from a built C6 ZR1 that still took the loss and a pair of street bikes that remind us that the quickest cars are still slower than the quickest motorcycles.
900 Horsepower C6
The star of this show is a black C6 Corvette and while the details are short, we know that it has some variety of LSX engine fitted with a Vortech YSI supercharger, resulting in 900 horsepower. We are going to guess that to be 900 wheel horsepower, based on the results of this racing footage. Also, we don’t know what transmission is in this car, but it seems to be a well-shifted manual and the car clearly has big, sticky tires out back.
As for the other vehicles in the video, there are even less details. We don’t know anything about the motorcycles and we have only sparse details on the other cars, but what we do know is that this black C6 takes every other car to task on the street.
Vette-on-Vette Action
During the course of this video, the 900-horsepower C6 Corvette races three other Vettes. The first is a C7 Z06 with nitrous that hangs with the hero car for a bit, but then disappears out back at higher speeds. The second Corvette battle comes with the “Dark 1” C7 Z06, which takes a worse beating than the first LT4 car.
The final Vette-on-Vette race is the best, with the 900-horsepower C6 taking on a C6 ZR1 with heads and a cam upgrade. The ZR1 holds the early lead and stays alongside better than any other car in the video, but in the end, the black YSI-supercharged C6 rolls to the win.
C6 Versus Everyone Else
In addition to racing the three other Corvettes, the 900-horsepower C6 also faced off against a Ford Mustang GT, a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and a pair of sport bikes. The sport bikes beat the Corvette badly, but in the case of the Mustang and the Charger, the supercharged Corvette handed out a merciless beating. For some reason, the Hellcat came back for a second round and the result was no different from the first beating.
