Instagrammer often posts updates on his sleek C7, which looks awesome after receiving extensive mods.

Corvette Forum, like pretty much every other automotive website on the planet, is focused on the impending launch of the C8. The next generation Corvette will likely be a revolutionary vehicle. With all the hype surrounding the C8, it’s easy to forget that the C7 is still an excellent choice for new and repeat Corvette buyers.

Fortunately, Instagrammer “GQ’dUp” created an Instagram account for his personal C7. “Gabrielle,” or “Gabby” is a fine looking lady. And he’s performed a whole host of upgrades that only augment her appeal. The account is proof positive that the C7 will continue to enjoy widespread support, even if the C8 steals a bit of the spotlight from now on.

Gabby started out as a regular 2019 Stingray. After purchasing the C7 in mid-2018, “GQ’dUp” quickly began modifying Gabby to better suit his specific tastes. Side skirts all around, front and rear tow hooks, and blue accents are just some of the visual and functional upgrades he has performed.

That front grille is also an aftermarket addition. Overall, these bits are quite tasteful and add some extra flair to the already spectacular looking C7.

For the tires, gqdup purchased the staggered 19″ and 20″ black painted aluminum wheels that Chevy makes available on the ZO6. He paired a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ to the rims as well. That’s an inspired choice, because they’re very close relatives to the Super Sport summer-only tires that Chevy puts on those wheels. For added effect, Gabby received some pretty nifty stickers on the sidewalls as well. They’ve even stayed on after he’s washed the tires. Additionally, he’s painted the brake calipers and replaced the lug nuts with ones that resemble red spikes.

Under the hood rests a Momentum cold air intake system with a Pro5R performance filter. We’re sure Gabby appreciates the extra fresh air! The system apparently adds 18 horsepower and 42 lb-ft of torque to any C7 while also increasing airflow by 42%. That’s pretty impressive for an intake system.

GQ’dUp” also painted the engine cover and pretty much anything else he could underneath the hood. The blue and white cover looks excellent and will likely fool the layman into thinking it’s offered like that from the factory. This picture is the final result of what seemed like a lot of work for “GQ’dUp.” He detailed his experience painting everything, and it seems like he spent quite a lot of time getting everything to where he felt satisfied. We think his hard work paid off handsomely.

Fortunately, it seems like Gabby and her owner go on plenty of adventures. The C7 has won some awards at the car shows “GQ’dUp” has participated in. Gabby even received the “Celebrity Choice” award at this year’s Corvettes at Carlisle show. That’s extremely high praise when you realize the event regular hosts of 5,000 Corvettes.

There are many C7 owners out there, but only one Gabby. We’re grateful to “GQ’dUp” for his continued dedication to Corvette ownership. The upcoming C8 is getting a lot of attention, but that doesn’t mean we can’t stop and admire any great looking C7 that comes along. And Gabby certainly qualifies. Make sure to follow Gabby and gqdup on Instagram.
