C2 and C6 Z06 Corvettes sell for second and third highest totals in one of Carlisle’s most successful auctions to date.

Fall Carlisle is arguably best known for its many, many rows of new and used parts available for purchase. But there’s obviously much more to the last event on Carlisle’s annual calendar than just rare and coveted goods. It’s also become the spot for a fast-growing auction featuring a host of interesting lots, including a multitude of Corvettes. This year, the Fall Carlisle auction saw over 500 vehicles cross the block, with total sales reaching a hefty $3.6 million.

The auction served up plenty of prime time entertainment for attendees on Thursday and Friday night as well. Whether they were frantically bidding on their dream ride or not. There was certainly a diverse array of makes and models to bid on as well. That included everything from motorcycles to trucks, cars, bikes, and trikes. But it was a pair of special Corvettes that helped contribute to that three plus million dollar total more than most.

In fact, two Corvettes landed in the top five sellers list, right behind a 1986 Ferrari Testarossa that hammered for $88,810. Second place went to a stellar 1966 Corvette, which sold for $78,830. Right behind that classic ride was a 2016 Z06, which hammered for a not-insignificant $68,212. Together with a ’54 Cadillac Eldorado and ’55 Buick Super 88, this fine five contributed $328,902 to the auction’s total sales.

Of course, there were plenty of other Corvettes up for grabs as well. And they represented every single generation from the C1 up to the C7. Altogether, over 250 lots found new homes, a 50% sell-through rate. That doesn’t include the many deals being made behind the scenes, after these vehicles crossed the block. So that number only figures to go up in the days following the auction’s completion.

In fact, there’s still time to work out a deal on a couple of Corvettes. Including a uniquely painted and restored ’57, along with a numbers-matching ’67 convertible. You can view those lots, along with everything else still up for grabs, by heading over here. And if you’re itching to attend another Carlisle auction, you won’t have to wait long. Sunset Carlisle is right around the corner, promising plenty of great lots on November 8-9. So be sure and do a little pre-event online shopping by heading over here!
