Corvette Racing Lineup

C7 Corvette race car was joined by C8 preproduction display vehicles and scores of privately owned cars.

The Motul Petit LeMans was held on October 12 at Road Atlanta, serving as the final long-format race on the 2019 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship schedule and the last chance for the drivers of Corvette Racing to score their first win of the season. While the team pairing of Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia currently sits third in season standings in the GTLM class with the #3 Corvette, their best results of the season were second place finishes at Long Beach, Mid-Ohio and Watkins Glen while the best finish for the #4 Corvette of Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner was a third at Long Beach.

However, even with 2019 being a not-so-great season for the Corvette Racing teams, the final long-format race of the season was an exciting one for Chevy sports car fans. Not only was this a final chance to see the C7 race car win, but it was also the first chance for many Corvette fans to see the mid-engined C8 in person.

C8 Preproduction Display

While it might have been hard for some Corvette fans to make it to Road Atlanta this weekend for the Petit LeMans, forum member “devnull” was in attendance and he shared lots of pictures of the C7 race cars, the C8 show cars and a variety of race cars from other brands competing in the final race of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for 2019.

Lots More C8 Pictures

The glowing comments from those few members led the OP to share lots more pictures of the C8 Corvette inside and out, along with a cut-a-way that provides a look at every inch of the new mid-engine architecture. We have only included a few of them here, but we strongly suggest that everyone clicks here to check out all of the pictures in the original thread.
