Fixed Roof Coupe C5 Corvette for Sale

Fixed roof coupe C5 Corvette is all-original, low-mileage and poised to appreciate in value.

The C5 Corvette is in an interesting place, right now. Certain examples are now more than 20 years old, and their respective odometer readings and sale prices reflect that. However, there are also the less common variants, like the Z06 and Fixed Roof Coupe, which tend to command a notable price premium. In fact, we have periodically reported on the likely appreciation coming to those C5 examples.

Now, you have a shot at buying one such example. This 2000 model year “FRC” is a pewter gray specimen of perfection. It also has just 27,783 miles on the odometer. What’s the deal? Well, according to seller, Corvette Forum member GatorGreat, they simply don’t drive the car much any more.

As you would expect from a car with just 27,783 miles on the odometer, it’s in like-new condition. Even the interior, something of a weak point for the C5, shows well. There is a touch of wear along the edge of the steering wheel, but that’s about the only demerit we can spy. Even the leather upholstery looks immaculate.

The outside of the car, painted Light Pewter Metallic, looks perfect with the natural aluminum finish five spoke wheels. Naturally, even the engine bay looks to be a barely broken in, and perfectly cared for example of the venerable LS1 V8 engine. It appears to be paired to the 6-speed manual transmission, which would, again, seem to be the more desirable choice for those looking for a potential collectors car.

Our seller has the car listed at $17,000 OBO, so, who knows, this could end up in another forum member’s garage in no time, at all. So you better head over to the thread, and act fast.
