Corvette C8’s West Coast Public Unveiling Set for this Weekend
New ‘Vette will be part of Petersen Auto Museum’s ‘Zora Duntov Tribute Weekend,’ which will feature a rally, cruise-in and panel talks.
The Petersen Automotive Museum will host two days of special events celebrating the life and accomplishments of former Chevrolet chief engineer, race driver and “Father of the Corvette” Zora Arkus-Duntov. The two-day “Zora Duntov Tribute Weekend” celebration will feature several high-profile events including a VIP reception, exclusive Corvette rally, Corvette cruise-in and a special panel discussion on the history and future of the Chevrolet Corvette. Plus, the Petersen will be hosting the West Coast unveiling of the Corvette C8.
On Saturday, July 27, at 6:30 p.m. the Sportsman VIP Night reception will feature an exclusive and unique Corvette display, along with gourmet food provided by Drago Ristorante and one-of-a-kind opportunities to network with Corvette experts and Corvette community VIPs. Attendees will also receive an exclusive Chevrolet Corvette book.
On Sunday, July 28, at 7:30 a.m., the Constellation Rally will take participants on a scenic route from Pasadena to the Petersen through the heart of Los Angeles. Three iconic Corvettes from the Petersen collection will take part in the rally, including a beautiful silver 1961 Corvette which will lead participants on the course. Also on Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m., the Corvette cruise-in at the Petersen will feature a panel discussion on Zora Arkus-Duntov, featuring Harley Earl III and Doug Fehan, in addition to a historic display of Corvettes.

Karges. “The Petersen is proud to honor Duntov’s incredible legacy, and we’re confident that this weekend will be like nothing else for any Corvette fan.”
