Corvette C8.R: 8 Awesome Aspects of Chevy’s New Race Car

There is plenty to love about Chevrolet’s new Corvette race car, but we narrowed it down to our eight favorite aspects of the C8.R.

Earlier this month, Chevrolet’s C8.R Corvette race car made its debut on the main stage at the 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible reveal in Florida.

After its surprise reveal, the C8.R was showcased in the main quad, where it began to draw a crowd.

When the C8.R’s engine roared, one nearby fan spontaneously nailed the experience with one line: “Now, THAT’S the national anthem!” he proclaimed.

Appropriately, the location for the reveal was at the historic Cape Canaveral Space Center, where Chevy pulled out all the stops to showcase three new 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertibles.

The silver and blue hardtop Stingrays definitely wowed the crowd, as did a special exhibit of classic Corvettes with a connection to NASA. But it was the 2020 C8.R that received an appreciative roar as loud as its engine.

The C8.R No. 4 car features a new silver livery. The color was inspired by iconic Corvette concepts such as the ’73 Aerovette and ’59 Stingray Racer.

The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8.R also features yellow accents. Following the No. 4, the No. 3 car will feature a yellow color scheme with silver accents.
