What starts with one C8 mid-engine Corvette rendering leads to a slew of them. And the results are very impressive.
Unless you’ve been living off the grid the last few weeks, you’ve undoubtedly seen all the spy pictures of the C8 mid-engine Corvette running around the internet. Unfortunately, the subjects of those photos are test mules. Which means they’re covered in loads of eye-deceiving camouflage. Thus, Corvette Forum member and Photoshop master jd_black_00 set out to find out just exactly what lurks under the surface. And it sure looks like he did a heck of a job.
“I tried to create a more accurate rendering after seeing the front bumper spray booth picture and studying the body lines in the videos more closely. I think this car is going to be gorgeous, swollen side air inlet or not!”
Still, the OP did take a few liberties with his design. Which C7pimp is quick to point out.
“Looks great. Headlight shape on the hood portion is off. Your previous one had a good headlight shape. Also, your door line is off. Looks funky. Also, missing the rearward straking line on the front fender at the belt line. It starts at the front inner tip of the headlight and strakes all the way across the hood, the fender onto the door. The old rendering show this line strake. Front tip of the headlight, across the hood, the fender and onto the door.”
But apparently, the OP isn’t the only member working on giving us a sneak peek at the C8 mid-engine Corvette.
“Credit to FirstVetteSoon. Other than the exact shape of the side scoop still being not apparent, this is 99.99% what we’ll see on reveal day.”
Or, even better, how about a black C8 mid-engine Corvette with some brushed aluminum wheels?
