C7 Corvette Z06 Selling for Just $29,500, Some (Re-)Assembly Required
Wrecked C7 Corvette Z06 doesn’t look too bad at first glance, but be careful before signing the dotted line to buy it.
Sorry, we just can’t help it, we are addicted to looking for deals on Craigslist. Of course, while some cars are running, driving deals, others can be fixer-uppers and need a bit of help. Take this 2017 Z06 we spotted on the infamous site.
It appears to be a red over black C7Z coupe with the Stage 3 aero kit and Z07 package. According to the ad, it has about 19,000 miles on the odometer, an automatic transmission, and, for now, a clean title.

As we can see from the pictures, the car is currently housed in a Las Vegas auto body shop. That shop, the seller states, will do the repairs and paintwork for just $3,000, assuming you bring them the correct parts. We have smashed our fair share of cars, and dealt with a number of body shops over the years, and we find this claim a little bit suspect.

At a minimum, this wrecked Z06 needs a new quarter panel, hatch, rear bumper assembly, tail light, exhaust finishers, and several of those Stage 3 aero pieces replaced, as well. Oh, and don’t forget that right-rear wheel, and, very likely, the entire rear suspension. And being that this is a Corvette, it’s likely that the transaxle may need some attention, too.

It’s a lot to take on, but as this accident hasn’t been reported to insurance (based on the clean title claim), if you have the means, and ability to source good used parts, this could be a deal in the making. With a $29,500 buy-in price, if you can source those replacement parts, verify the extent of the damages and even, possibly, knock out some of the repairs yourself, you could be into a clean title C7 Z06 for well under $50,000. So, Corvette Forum readers, is anyone ready to turn some wrenches and possibly snag a deal on this Z06?
