Corvette Stingray looks stock, but it features a fully built, ProCharged LT1 and it is available for sale right now.
In stock form, the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is a solid performance car, but the LT1 takes well to modifications, making it popular in the drag racing world. The lightweight form coupled with big power can easily lead to a 9-second car, but not everyone has the knowledge to build a car like that, nor do they have the money to build one from the ground-up. Fortunately, “KKC7” posted a 2016 Corvette Stingray in Corvette Forum‘s C7 Corvettes For Sale section that packs enough power to run in the 9.80s while maintaining the stock look.
C7 Corvette Stingray For Sale
When the OP first posted this 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray for sale, he provided details on the car and a list of features of the fully built LT1 engine. He mentions in the title that this is a 9-second car, but there is no mention of track time in the description. Fortunately, the seller included a picture of four timeslips, showing quarter mile times ranging from 9.871 at 140.49 miles per hour to 9.989 at 141.49 miles per hour.

The seller points out that this Corvette has a smaller supercharger pulley now and that the 829 rear wheel horsepower was measured with the smaller pulley. We don’t know which pulley was on the car for the 9-second runs, nor do we know how much power it makes now (which is odd, considering that the car is for sale), but we know that it is making more than 829 horsepower at the rear wheels and it is capable of running in the 9-second range.
Looks Stock, Beats Most Competitors
As you can see in the pictures here, when this Corvette Stingray isn’t outfitted with the drag pack front and rear wheel setup, this Chevy sports car looks like it could be stock. Mind you, it doesn’t sound stock, but few people will expect a stock-looking, good-sounding C7 Stingray to run in the 9s.
Fortunately, this Corvette packs the power and transmission mods to run those numbers, and with a price of $44,000, this 9-second, 829 rear wheel horsepower Chevy is an awesome performance car with a great price.
