As a result, we can’t get a very good look at them, but realistically, we know what brake calipers look like. At $900, they are a great deal, as in looking around online, it looks as though four brand new calipers like this cost upwards of $1,300. Of course, shipping these won’t be cheap, but if you live in the seller’s area, you can save a fair amount of money on this deal.

The simplest use for these Corvette Z06 brake calipers is to install them on a standard C6 that has smaller, 2-piston front calipers and single-piston rears. Going to the 6-piston fronts and 4-piston rears will have a huge positive impact on stopping distances and pedal feel, especially when you take into account the better rotors and pads, but these Z06 parts are good for more than just installation on same-generation models.

If you look through the forum, there are multiple threads about people installing C6 Z06 brakes on a C5 Corvette and in looking around the internet, there are people who have added the big Z06 stoppers to older models as well. Of course, if you get to swapping into any older generation, you will need more than just the calipers, but the further back you go, the bigger difference these Z06 components will make.
