Most barn finds need a ton of work. But this highly optioned 1967 Corvette looks to be in pretty solid condition.
Barn find Corvettes seem to be a dime a dozen these days. And while we’ll never truly understand why people park their sweet rides in storage for decades, it’s obviously a thing. Few of the crusty finds we’ve come across compare to this very interesting 1967 Corvette that recently popped up on Craigslist, however. For starters, it has its original 427/400hp big block under that stinger hood. And that alone makes it a little bit special.
Then there are some more options that further peak our interest. Namely factory air conditioning, which is always a desirable add-on. This particular 1967 Corvette also sports power steering, brakes, and windows, side pipes, tinted glass, shoulder harnesses, and the transistor ignition. Pretty much everything you’d want in a C2, no?
The exterior and interior of this ‘Vette also appear to be in pretty excellent condition. The biggest problem we see resides on the lower portion of the driver’s side door, where something seems to have punctured the fiberglass. Other than that, the interior looks like it’s in pretty good shape, and the engine bay is also rather clean. No word on repairs or modifications outside of an engine rebuild in the early ’80s.
With virtually every option available for the 427/400 cars, this 1967 Corvette looks like it has real potential. A few repairs and a little maintenance, and it should be good to go. It’s pretty hard to tell by the pictures provided, but this does in fact look like a legit car in mostly original condition with no broach marks visible. Of course, with an asking price of $80k, you won’t get much of a discount. But with a little work, this car could be transformed into a real gem easily!
