Take a ride in Kyle from 1320’s Unicorn C5 by way of a some cars catching fire and an attempt to get an ice cream truck to do a burnout.

We’ve been following along Kyle from 1320 Video’s Unicorn from built to first race. This video is from the BoostedBoiz YouTube channel but before they take a ride in the Unicorn C5, the video starts at this years Ice Cream Cruise. The Ice Cream Cruise is a car show and cruise that started back in 2005 as a small event, but has become one of the largest car shows in the Midwest and held at Raceway Park of the Midlands, in Glenwood, Iowa. Later in the day, everyone moves from the road course to the drag strip for some “Not Much Prep” racing. And, as the video shows, shenanigans ensue.

The Unicorn C5 is a stupidly fast and ever so slightly sketchy Corvette that was started to see if they could get 1000 horsepower. The first comment on the video is actually Kyle explaining the lack of traction in the ride along is because the tires were at the cords. The last dyno test we saw, it was getting close to the 1,000 horsepower number, and now we know it’s positively brutal on the street.

If you’re wondering why Kyle named it Unicorn, that’s because of the color combination. The exterior color is Speed Way White, and in 2001, the year of the Unicorn, GM only sold 352 in that color. The interior is two-tone red and black, of which only 157 were made with. Put the two together, and you realize they have hacked up something rather rare in the name of big horsepower. And we’re OK with that, it’s easily one of the most entertaining C5s around.
