With brutal performance, stunning looks, and unbelievable road presence, the C7 Z06 is the last of its kind. Long live the C7!
Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about the C7 Corvette. As the last in a long line of traditional, front-engined Corvettes, the C7 will always have a special place in history. As long as Corvette Forum is around, it will have a special place here, too.
Apparently, we aren’t the only ones dedicated to keeping the legacy of the C7 alive. Woyshnis Media over at YouTube just shared this beautifully-shot video of a black C7 Z06 driving around town.
Short of a few brief pulls and fly-bys, the Z06 doesn’t do much to flex its muscles in this video. Still, it’s got a presence that lets everyone know that it’s the king of the streets.
The C7 Z06 is already an incredible-looking car right from the factory. Even compared to other Corvettes, it exudes a high-performance look that makes it look like a weekend track toy with license plates and turn signals.
The owner of this example wisely opted to leave well enough alone. The black paint is polished and waxed to perfection, reflecting the surrounding city landmarks like a dark mirror.
One of a Kind
One very noticeable change is the wheels. These are forged Signature Performance Wheels SV701s, from their Precision Series. Instead of the usual machined aluminum, they’re finished in Crystal Burgundy. It’s an unusual, unique look. These wheels really transform this Z06 into something special.
Most of the video is backed by a music soundtrack, but for one brief moment, we can hear the Z06 under load. Hearing the roar of the 6.2 liter LT4 V8 and the accompanying whine of the supercharger is a real treat. What a glorious soundtrack it is.
When the Corvette shows its stuff, it’s very clear that this Z06 has the performance to back up its aggressive looks. Not that we’d expect anything less, of course.
We know these observations may sound super obvious, but when was the last time you took a step back and really appreciated a C7 Z06? Trust us, you owe it to yourself to watch this video.
The owner of this particular car, Tom Lorezca, is active on Instagram, going by the handle @tomcat206. Lorezca has some great toys in his collection. The C7 Z06 is definitely our favorite.
