Pandem Unveils an Outrageous Widebody Kit for the C8 Corvette

Pandem’s widebody kit for the C8 Corvette is one of the most aggressive restyling of the sports car so far!

There’s no debating that the C8 Corvette is a striking offering and even though its prices start at just $58900, the mid-engine sports car offers aesthetics that can steal the spotlight away from some of the most premium offerings in the market.

After Ares Designunveiled its reinterpretation of the first-ever mid-engine Corvette, another design house had a go at reimagining the popular sports car and the results are staggering. Japanese body kit manufacturer Pandem USA has introduced a widebody kit for the 495 BHP C8 Corvette and it is one of the most aggressive restyling of the sports car so far.

The aftermarket design house has priced its body kit at $7000 which is good value for money considering what’s on offer. The kit includes a bespoke rear wing, a pair of hulking side skits, and extremely flared front and rear fenders. A sturdier front splitter is also included in the package which bestows the sports car with a menacing silhouette.

Pandem and its sister marque Rocket Bunny are no strangers to contentious designs but there’s no disputing the fact that the company has managed to enhance the road presence of this C8 Vette in the most unapologetic and extravagant manner. To further highlight the brawny appeal of the ensemble, the Pandem C8 kit sports exposed rivets.

The photographed model rides on deep-dish alloy wheels which are wrapped in fat and extremely sticky Toyo Tires. Unfortunately, the alloys with the ridiculous negative off-set are not included in the $7000 price package and neither is the aftermarket air suspension setup that gives the car its radically low stance.

Customers can also save $1200 by opting to buy the kit without the rear wing, however, we would advise strongly against that as it would break the design’s crazy façade. Pandem is currently accepting orders for the body kit even though the production of the C8 Corvette was suspended earlier this month as a result of a parts shortage caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The ostentatious nature of the body kit might not be everyone’s cup of tea and might be offensive to performance enthusiasts and purists. One needs to keep in mind that Pandem designed the C8 kit for those who love making an entrance and don’t really care about the C8 Chevrolet Corvette’s 194 MPH top speed and its 0 to 60 MPH acceleration time of 2.9 seconds.
