2015 Corvette Z06

C7 Corvette Z06 has interior and aerodynamic upgrades, including loads of carbon fiber.

The C7 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is the perfect all-purpose sports car. The C7 Z06 comes with lots of interior amenities, so it is comfortable for daily driving. The LT4 Corvette is unique enough that it fits in at a car show or Cars and Coffee. It packs big power, so it is great on the drag strip, but the package was engineered to be great on a road course. In short, the C7 Corvette Z07 is one of the few cars that can be daily driven, fit in at a car show or pushed to its limits at multiple types of race track.

If you are looking for this type of versatility from a sports car, the 2015 Corvette Z06 posted in the C7 Corvettes For Sale section might be perfect. Posted by “Katzd9”, this Z06 has been heavily modified inside and out. These modifications improve the look and performance without compromising drivability or comfort. As a result, this C7 will stand out even more at a car show while being a monster on the drag strip or road course.

C7 Corvette Z06 Introduction

When the OP first posted this 2015 Corvette Z06 for sale, he provided the following details.

Corvette Z06

For sale is my 2015 C7 Z06/Z07 3LZ with around 16k miles on it. For starters, I think it goes without saying that this car is an absolute beast. Unfortunately, so much so that my girlfriend said it has to go because it scares her and she’s afraid I’ll get arrested for having no self-control with open road (which is probably true). We’re moving to the mountains next month and unfortunately the car can’t go (dirt roads).

From the dealer, this car came pretty much fully loaded with nearly a $109k price tag. I included an image of the original window sticker so you can see the factory options. In addition, there’s been about $20k worth of aftermarket upgrades to this car. I will probably be leaving some out, but here goes nothing:

Texas Speed Stage 2 Camshaft Kit
-Texas Speed Long tube headers/ X-Pipe
-Faster Proms expansion tank
-Fully wired for Nitrous with a Nitrous Outlet System. All you would need to run this would be a switch panel (which would connect to the wires hidden behind the Nav screen and hooking a bottle to the hose in the trunk
-Full tune by Pavlock Motorsports
-Dyno attached showing nearly 760hp and 780 torque
-ATI lower pulley
-K&N full carbon fiber intake system
-MGW short throw racing shifter
Ceramic Pro coating
-Clear Bra covering most of the car
-Yellow tow hook
-Carbon Fiber front Splitter
-Carbon Fiber front winglets
-Carbon Fiber rear spoiler
-Carbon Fiber hood vent
-Carbon Fiber door sills
-Carbon Fiber mirrors
-Carbon Fiber gas cap
-Carbon Fiber engine caps
-Carbon Fiber exterior frames
-Custom Carbon Fiber/Alcantara steering wheel
-Pretty much Carbon Fiber everything
-Stitched center console
-Custom yellow painted wheel wells to match the calipers (all 4)
-Tinted windows
-Blue LED’s in the trunk that look really cool at night
-Blacked out Tail Lights
-Blacked out front and rear emblem
-Blue Bi-LED headlights

Issues to be aware of:
-Minor chips (I’ll send up close pics of all cosmetic dings upon request)
-Some of the dashboard leather in the passenger seat melted and shrunk out of place under the hot summer sun in Denver
-Needs new tire pressure sensors (a pack of 4 sells on Ebay for $43)
-A “Check Brakes” warning has been popping up when I start the car. I took it into a local Vette specialist, and they said it is most likely just a bad sensor or some dirt got caught and needs a quick cleaning. They did a full check on the brakes and confirmed they are in perfect condition.
-Minor wear on the left side of the steering wheel
-Will probably need new tires within the next year or so
-This car has a tendency to induce immediate pants crapping
This car is just so much fun to drive and has to be the greatest sounding car in history. It literally sounds like an angry lion about to attack and feels like a rocket ship. I previously had an Audi R8 V10 and 911 Turbo S and was absolutely shocked at how much faster and more fun this thing is then both of them.

I’m sad to see this car go but hope someone can seriously enjoy it. Asking $70k and car is located in Denver.

The OP also included all of these pictures of his modified Z06.

Corvette Comforts

While this 2015 Corvette Z06 is heavily modified inside and out, none of the upgrades should diminish the daily driving comfort. There is a ton of carbon fiber interior trim, but it still has the premium amenities of the 3LZ trim level. It has heated and cooled leather seats and a premium sound system, along with the removable roof system.

Z06 Interior

The performance upgrades add lots of power and we imagine that this Z06 is louder than a stock car. At the same time, none of the power-adding upgrades should make this Corvette any less comfortable on the open road. Of course, the automatic would be a bit user-friendlier, but for anyone who wants to row their own gears, this C7 will serve as a very fast yet very comfortable daily driver.

Car Show Quality

On the inside, this 2015 Corvette Z06 has carbon fiber everything. The custom carbon fiber-and-leather steering wheel is the centerpiece of the interior, but just about everything else is either covered in leather or carbon fiber. With the roof panel removed, this interior will most certain draw a crowd at Cars and Coffee.

Z06 Interior

Even from afar, this C7 Corvette catches the eye thanks to the big rear wing and the other upgraded aero bits. Aside from the front splitter and the rear wing, the exterior upgrades are subtle, but they all combine to make a very aggressive-looking Z06. While the original form of the Z06 is preserved, the copious amounts of carbon fiber inside and out make this Corvette a great show piece.

Road Racing Monster

In stock form, the C7 Corvette Z06 is one of the most road race-ready American cars of all time. The combination of the Magnetic Ride Control Suspension system, the massive Brembo brakes and the supercharged LT4 engine makes this a great weekend track toy. This particular car doesn’t have any suspension, chassis or braking system upgrades, but it has loads more power and more aggressive aero properties.

C7 Corvette Z06

The carbon fiber aero bits should increase downforce and improve cornering abilities. The added power should get this Z06 down the straights with some serious urgency. If it isn’t strong enough for you with 758 horsepower and 779 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels, the car is setup for a nitrous oxide system. This means that there is plenty of potential for more power. However, for most hobbyist road racers, the current output should be enough to have a great time on any road course.

C7 Corvette Z06

Drag Strip Beast

In stock form, a C7 Corvette Z06 with a manual transmission is generally a mid-to-low 11-second quarter mile car. In looking around online, a stock LT4 sends roughly 575 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque to the rear tires. This Z06 made 756 horsepower and779 lb-ft of torque, so it picked up nearly 200 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels.

LT4 Dyno Sheet

That extra power will make traction a bit trickier, especially on the launch, but with a little practice, the driver of this Corvette should be able to run well into the 10-second range. The OP doesn’t mention the make or model of tires, so we are guessing that it is a stock tire or something very comparable. Those tires aren’t made for drag racing, so swapping to a drag radial would make a huge difference for this Z06.

2015 Corvette Z06

If you are good at launching a manual transmission car, this 2015 Corvette Z06 is a car that you can drive all week and run 10s at the drag strip. At that to its daily driving comforts, its road handling abilities and the unique look and this is truly the perfect all-around American sports car.
