LPE Drops a Teaser Video for the Upcoming Lingenfelter C8 Package
LPE shares a teaser video showing Lingenfelter C8 Corvettes making test runs around a race track
With 44 years of tuning experience under its belt, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering is one of the most renowned names in the business. The company celebrates a long-standing relationship with General Motors and has delivered some really exciting versions of Corvette and Camaro models over the years.
LPE is one of the top Corvette tuners in the world and so far the company has refrained from divulging any information about its C8 package project. A few days ago, the Michigan-based tuner uploaded a video on its YouTube channel in which two Lingenfelter C8 Corvettes can be seen running around a race track.
LPE has confirmed that it is preproduction testing the two models and will be announcing its C8 Corvette tuning program soon. The quick teaser video offers glimpses into the reworked engine bay and also previews the battle cry of the aftermarket exhaust.
One of the test vehicles seen in the video is Lingenfelter’s show rig and sports Continental decals. The other Lingenfelter C8 is showing off Corvette’s Sebring Orange Tintcoat premium paint job which is available as a $995 optional extra on the build and price configurator for the 2021 C8 Stingray.
Lingenfelter has equipped its Sebring Vette with Corsa Performance headers and exhaust. The sports car rides on a set of VossenEvo Series aluminum alloys and features a Performance Design carbon fiber intake manifold.
The carbon fiber treatment is not limited to the engine bay. The rear wing and front splitter adorning the Orange test vehicle are also carbon fiber components. According to a recent report, Corvette might soon offer a host of carbon fiber accessories for the 2021 C8 which will also include a high wing spoiler.
The company has confirmed that it will release more information about the two models and its tuning program on November 9th. The C8 Corvette’s encrypted ECU means that there are limited options for performance-enhancing upgrades in the market.
However, rumors suggest Lingenfelter might offer a Magnuson 2650 supercharger as part o the tuning package. The tuning company has announced that both prototypes passed their preproduction validation tests with distinction.
