How Much Does a C4 Corvette Cost Nowadays?

While all the talk might be about the C8 Corvette now, we think that sometimes it’s good to take a step back and appreciate the oldies. By this, we, of course, mean the C4 Corvette. Back in the early 1980s, the world was blessed with the boxy and distinctively ’80s Corvette. It was a car fitting of its time. It was a new decade and a new generation and the Corvette fit the role it needed. Looking back, these cars were a certain level of badass.

One sad fact about C4 ownership in today’s age is that finding used models in good condition isn’t always easy. It isn’t often you see these cars on the road and, when you do, they usually aren’t looking too good. Why are we letting down one of America’s signature heroes? We were curious about what it costs to buy one of these cars nowadays, at least in good condition. To that, we turn to Reynolds Rides on YouTube, who will let us know how much he spent on his clean 1989 C4.

The C4 featured in this video was purchased and sourced in Utah. We get to see this vehicle featured in front of an absolutely stunning winter landscape behind a lake. Not a bad place to be, if you ask me. According to the owner, he has owed this C4 for just four months. When he initially found the vehicle, the original owner was asking for $7,000 because it was supposedly in great condition. After just a little bit of haggling, he was able to get the original owners down to $6,800.

At that price, he purchased the vehicle with just about 78,000 miles on it. In the comments for the video, some people shared the prices they paid for their C4s. $6k for an ’86 with 45K miles, a 96′ with 86K miles for $7,500, $8,000 for a ’87 with unknown miles.
