Corvette Club Rolls & Revs By for 5-year Old’s Birthday Bash
Young Corvette fan got a thrill when a fleet of Corvettes drove by to celebrate his big day.
For most of us, our passion for cars started young. Five-year-old Landen Brown is no exception. Yes, at 5, he is definitely one of us. The lil’ guy was given the ultimate birthday gift recently when the Virginia Corvette Club showed up en masse to celebrate his birthday, ‘Vette style.
Given the current circumstances, Brown has been in self-quarantine with his family. But Brown’s family has hardcore Corvette roots. And what better way to celebrate that with a parade of America’s sports car?
Brown’s parents are members of the local Corvette Club. So they called on their crew to arrange for a fleet of Corvettes to drive by their home in Lynchburg. Of course, the club answered the call. A parade of Corvettes showed up, and showed off.
They also drove by and shared cards, gifts, balloons, and a lot of eye candy. Hey–sounds like a birthday treat we would definitely enjoy.
And check out the Corvettes! Landon’s mom Lindsey Brown let the camera roll, capturing dozens of Corvettes cruising by. Corvettes on hand span a few generations, and represent a great (and great looking) mix of Chevy’s greatest car.
Established in 1983, the Virginia Corvette Club frequently meets for events ranging from Corvettes & Coffee to car shows. But they have also been a long established member of the community, participating in a number of causes and charities; including raising funds for the National Corvette Museum. They put the power of the Corvette for a good cause.
Hopefully soon, we will resume to something resembling normal again. But we are always impressed at how the Corvette community comes together to not only share the love of the one-and-only ‘Vette; but to lend a hand, help out, spread some much needed cheer.
And if you live in the Virginia area, definitely check into the Virginia Corvette Club. They are an active and well-organized group with a diverse roster of events.
