C8 Corvette Police Interceptor Renderings Predict Pesky Problem For Speeders

These are just renderings, but it probably won’t be long before we see a real-life C8 Corvette police interceptor.

For quite some time, car enthusiasts have found themselves enamored with fast police cars. There’s just something cool about a hi-po vehicle built specifically for high speed pursuits, even if no car guy wants to actually get lit up by one of these things. Many police departments employ at least one “halo” car, and in our opinion, that should include a C8 Corvette police interceptor.

Such a thing doesn’t exist yet, but if it did, it would probably look a lot like these C8 Corvette police interceptor renderings from artist Aksyonov Nikita. And we must admit, the newest Corvette’s lines lend themselves nicely to the law enforcement treatment, resulting in a combination that’s guaranteed to attract attention everywhere it goes. Whether that be an admiring kid or a sweaty-palmed speeder.

There’s certainly no mistaking this Corvette cop car for anything else, as the giant “police interceptor” livery takes up a ton of real estate on the side flanks of the car. From there, it’s all typical police interceptor flair, including goodies like a light bar up top, auxiliary lighting front and rear, a spotlight for shining on the baddies, and a set of good-old-fashioned steelie-inspired wheels.

Sadly, the addition of the light bar means that any officers slipping behind the wheel won’t be able to do so with the top off, but we doubt they’d be disappointed. After all, who wouldn’t want to spend their day cruising around in a C8? Especially one that looks this good, yet somewhat sinister? The C8 looks pretty darn awesome as-is, but there’s just something about this livery that truly takes it to another level, visually speaking.

Of course, Corvette police cars are nothing new, and there are quite a few of them already in existence from previous generations. So we imagine that it’s only a matter of time before the C8 officially joins the law enforcement community. And when it does, it’ll probably look a lot like this, be used in parades and community outreach events, and spend some time chasing down those who choose to drive a little too fast on our nation’s highways.
